MISSION STATEMENT:
The Anne Arundel County Youth Football Association (AAYFA) is dedicated to empowering young athletes through the game of football by fostering a safe, inclusive, and competitive environment. Our mission is to build character, encourage teamwork, and promote physical fitness while teaching the values of respect, discipline, and sportsmanship. We are committed to nurturing the potential of all our athletes - on and off the field - through positive mentorship, community engagement, and a love for the game.

We're launching a weekly “Game of the Week” broadcast covering youth & potentially high school football in our county — complete with live commentary, highlights, and athlete spotlights.
Looking for passionate folks to join the team:
Play-by-Play / Color Commentators, Videographers / Camera Ops, Audio Engineers, Livestream Tech (OBS/YouTube Live/etc.), Social Media / Content Creators, Video Editors / Graphics, Sponsorship & Community Outreach. This is about building something sustainable, community-driven, and fun. Whether you're a student, parent, or seasoned media pro — we’d love to connect.

2025 AAYFA County Age/Weight Matrix
| Division | Criteria | Details |
|---|---|---|
| 7U (7 and Under) | Players must be 6 years old by September 1, 2025 to be eligible to participate. | Any player turning 8 years old before September 1, 2025 is not eligible to play in this division. |
| 8U (8 and Under) | Players must be 6 years old by September 1, 2024, to be eligible to play. | Any player turning 9 years old before September 1, 2024, is not eligible to play in this division. |
| 9U (9 and Under) | Players must turn 7 years old by September 1, 2024, to be eligible to play. | Any player turning 10 years old before September 1, 2024, is not eligible to play in this division. |
| 10U (10 and Under) | Players must turn 8 years old by September 1, 2024 to be eligible to play. | Any player turning 11 years old before September 1, 2024, is not eligible to play in this division. |
| 11U (11 and Under) | Players must turn 9 years old by September 1, 2024, to be eligible to play. | Any player turning 12 years old before September 1, 2024, is not eligible to play in this division. |
| 12U (12 and Under) | Players must turn 10 years old by September 1, 2024 to be eligible to play. | Any player turning 13 years old before September 1, 2024 is not eligible to play in this division. |
| 14U (14 and Under) | Players must turn 12 years old by September 1, 2024 to be eligible to play. 11 year old players will NOT be allowed to play in the 14U division. | Any player turning 15 years old before November 30, 2024, is ineligible to play in the 14U division. Players that are 14 years old and members of a high school football team are ineligible to play in the 14U division. Please modify: Any player turning 14 years old, but not yet in high school, is eligible to play in this division. |
